Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician (OB Ultrasonographer)

Position Details

• Specialty: Ultrasound Technician (OB Ultrasonographer)
• Shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (32 hours/week)
• Unit: General Ultrasound Technologist
• Work Setting: One ultrasound room in a radiology suite at an off-site office park
• Patient Population: Outpatient
• Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Bed Count: 1
• EMR System: EPIC
• Floating: Not required
• Rotating Shifts: Not required
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
• Certifications Required: RDMS-ABD, OBGYN

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Professional License: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
• Fit Test: N95 fit test within 365 days of start, updated annually; no religious exemptions.
• MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine OR two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity via blood test.
• Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred to have 3 vaccines or proof of immunity or declination.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30); no exemptions.
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break.
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break.
• Criminal Background Checks:

  • MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start.
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start.
  • National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start and annually.
  • Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days prior to start and annually.
• Education Verification: Verification of highest level of education achieved.
• Social Security Number Trace: Required with criminal background check.
• References: Two recent references, including at least one supervisor or above, in relevant skillset.
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
• Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
• Assignment Confirmation: Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and updates if start date changes.
• Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required and must be uploaded.

Additional Notes

• If positive TB test, documentation of a negative chest x-ray is required.
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years is preferred.
• TB symptom survey must be completed prior to start and updated annually if applicable.
• No floating or rotating shifts required, providing a consistent schedule.
