Outpatient Operations Pharmacist - Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation

Location: Tuba City, Arizona

Facility Overview

  • JCAHO accredited health center serving a 4,400 square mile area in Northwestern Arizona.
  • Referral center for western Navajo and Hopi Reservations.
  • 73-bed hospital with comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services.
  • Services include dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral and eye surgery, urological procedures.
  • Approximately 49% of surgeries are outpatient/ambulatory.
  • Diverse community serving Native American tribes (Navajo, Hopi, Southern Paiute) alongside Anglo, Hispanic, and African American populations.
  • Medical staff includes a wide range of specialists and nursing professionals.

Position Summary

  • Role based in the Outpatient Pharmacy Department.
  • Responsible for daily operations of the outpatient pharmacy: staffing, workflow, duty assignments, compliance, and acting as liaison between staff and management.
  • Provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services to patients across all age groups including pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients.
  • Serve as a front-line pharmacist ensuring consistent service per facility policies.
  • Provide technical and administrative guidance to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians/trainees, aides, and billers.
  • May require working rotational shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school, OR
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS-Pharm) with 3 years experience from an ACPE-accredited school.
  • Licensure:
    • Current, valid, unrestricted pharmacy license in any U.S. State, Territory, or D.C.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Pharmacist.

Additional Information

  • Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
  • COVID & Flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted with a declination form.
  • Limited housing options available: shared units at $600/month (based on availability). No family or pets allowed per hospital policy.
  • Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date.
