Cardiac Cath Lab Tech – Travel Position

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Facility: Centennial Medical Center TN (HCA Healthcare)
Unit: Cath Lab (Tower Building)

Unit Overview

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab with 11 procedure rooms (5 cath, 4 EP, 2 hybrid OR)
• Patient-to-Staff Ratio: 1 patient to 3 staff
• Staffing: Cath/EP Techs and Cath/EP RNs, plus unit secretaries
• Equipment: GE and Philips x-ray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, Merge Hemo
• Documentation Systems: Merge Hemo and Meditech
• Scheduling: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Floating Policy: Float only to prep and recovery areas

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years patient experience in Cath Lab or EP Lab
• Technologists: RCIS, RCES, or RT(R), plus ACLS and BLS certifications
• RNs: Valid RN license, ACLS, and BLS certifications

Skills & Responsibilities

• Technologists: Scrub and monitor cardiac cath and/or EP procedures
• RNs: Monitor and circulate during cardiac cath and/or EP procedures
• Advanced skills in BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with a variety of procedures including:

  • Cath Lab: Diagnostic cath, PCI, Rotoblator, Laser atherectomies, ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman, IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, Pernumbra
  • EP Lab: EP studies, pacemakers, ICDs, ablations (excluding cryo), Micra pacemakers, loop recorders, lead extractions including laser lead extractions
