Description

Operating Room Technician - CVOR

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Room Technician specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on-site in a challenging and rewarding environment in New York, contributing to life-saving surgeries including heart transplants, neurosurgery, and robotic procedures using Da Vinci endoscopes.

Job Details

Start Date: September 9, 2024
End Date: December 7, 2024
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Shift Timing: 6am to 3pm
Weekend Work: Every 3rd weekend
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1920 - $2060

Job Requirements

2-4 years of experience in a CVOR setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
Experience with EPIC charting
COVID-19 vaccination plus booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities

Assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including heart transplants and neurosurgery
Operate and maintain robotic surgical equipment, including Da Vinci endoscopes
Ensure sterile environment and prepare surgical instruments
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah and she was extremely helpful from the begining. She was constantly checking up on me and made the whole onboarding procedure as easy as possible.
