Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Travel RNs to join a high-acuity Cardiac/Stepdown unit in Milwaukee, WI. This role is ideal for nurses with strong critical thinking skills and previous telemetry, stepdown, or cardiac care experience. The submission process is streamlined with virtual interviews and auto offers, so qualified candidates can move through quickly.

Requirements:

Active Wisconsin or Compact RN License (must be in hand at submission)
Prior stepdown or intermediate care experience highly preferred
EPIC charting experience required
Must be open to supporting either HVU only or Mobile Unit, depending on contract
Must be able to float as needed

Unit Details:

Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Heart failure, dysrhythmias (e.g., afib, bradycardia), syncope, COVID, sepsis, DKA/HHS, withdrawal, GI bleed, ESRD, and vascular interventions
Special Procedures: TR-band weaning, terminal oxygen weaning, assist with bedside thoracentesis
Beds: 41–50
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Additional Notes:

60-mile radius rule in effect
Local travelers accepted with adjusted rate
Must be able to commit to full assignment length
