Description
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week contract in Walnut Creek, California. This is a great opportunity for an allied health professional skilled in advanced imaging and vascular procedures to join a high-performing radiology team.
Contract Details:
Position: IR Technologist
Location: Walnut Creek, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 4x10 hours
Role Overview:
The IR Technologist will assist in a variety of interventional procedures including angiography, embolizations, stent placements, and image-guided biopsies. Responsibilities include operating fluoroscopy and DSA equipment, preparing sterile trays, assisting the radiologist, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate imaging equipment during interventional procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with vascular access
- Monitor patient vitals and ensure comfort and safety
- Document procedures and manage imaging data
Qualifications:
- ARRT (R) certification required; (VI) certification preferred
- California Radiologic Technologist License
- BLS required
- Minimum 2 years IR tech experience preferred
