Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team in a Skill Nursing Facility Setting. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your primary focus will be to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide direct patient care by administering therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with medical standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes across various settings such as pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient, and outpatient care.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, skilled nursing facilities, or outpatient settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion and empathy towards patients.
• Physical stamina to assist patients during therapy sessions and perform necessary lifting or transferring tasks.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
