Location: Grand Junction, CO
Setting: Outpatient (Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Community Hospital)
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift
Pay: $3,650/week

About the Role:
Join Community Hospital’s renowned Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team as a Certified Hand Therapist. This outpatient position is focused on comprehensive hand and upper extremity rehabilitation for patients of all ages. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and make a measurable impact on patient recovery and function.

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate and assess outpatient hand therapy patients, creating individualized plans of care.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and continually reassess progress, adjusting treatments to ensure goal achievement.
• Deliver patient and caregiver education to enhance engagement, understanding, and outcomes.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation according to professional and regulatory standards.
• Collect, analyze, and report outcome measures to monitor progress and treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to ensure optimal patient care.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by considering cost, staffing, billing, and coding requirements.
• Participate in ongoing program improvement and uphold the organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program.
• Active, unrestricted Colorado OT or PT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
• Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Prior experience in outpatient hand therapy, with strong assessment, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills.
