Requirements:
• BLS & ACLS – Required
• NRP - Required
• AWHONN - Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring - Required
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required
• L&D Experience - Required: 1 Year
Cerner Experience Required
"Patient population includes, Females of childbearing years, pregnant 17 weeks gestation, laboring, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage (we try not to do these on the unit)), and Triage issues. The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S). Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes Fetal Monitors, Cerner and Fetalink documentation."
