Job Description

The Neuro IR Tech will support the Interventional Radiology (IR) and Neuro Interventional Radiology (NIR) teams in the critical care procedure department.

Schedule

• Shifts: 5x8s, 0730-1600
• Daily Caseload: 6-8 procedures per tech
• Rooms: 3
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: Yes, with specific call expectations outlined.

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Floating Requirement: Yes, within service line

Special Requirements

• Experience in Neuro-Interventional Radiology, including procedures such as:

  • Diagnostic cerebral angiograms
  • Coiling, stenting, embolizations, and stroke thrombectomies
  • Venous samplings and lumbar punctures
• Operate a Siemens Bi-plane for neurovascular image acquisition and post-processing images.
• Scrub experience is not required.

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
