Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, providing care to patients in the Central Region (York County) and neighboring counties as needed.

Schedule Requirements

• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Weekend Rotation: Saturday

Minimum Experience

• Experience Required: 2 years
• Certifications Required:

  • Associate's degree
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Licensed PTA

Essential Functions

• Implement exercise and treatment programs as determined by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in patient testing, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in training for medical and nursing personnel.
• Utilize safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Physical Demands

• Standing, Walking, Sitting: Occasionally
• Carrying/Lifting: Occasionally (26 to 50 lbs)
• Pushing/Pulling: Occasionally (up to 50 lbs)
• Kneeling/Crouching, Reaching: Occasionally
• Talking, Hearing: Frequently

Required Documentation

• Background Checks: 7-Year Criminal Background Check
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam (within 90 days of start)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 90 days)
  • Vaccination records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
  • Drug Testing (Negative 9 Panel within 1 year)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or Exemption
  • Flu Vaccination or Exemption
