- Must have Siemens MRI experience
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Required for NICU
- Chemotherapy certification (if applicable for Oncology unit)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – Required for ER and preferred for Pediatric ER
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – Required for Labor & Delivery RNs
- National Tech Certification Verification
- State License Verification (Connecticut Radiographer license required or pending)
- NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
- NIH Stroke Certification (for RNs only)
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) during orientation
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) – Required for Psychiatry/Behavioral Health
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (85% passing score required)
- Color Blind Testing (80% passing score required, effective 8/2/2024)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Telemetry, MS/Tele, ER, ICU units)

Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam (within 12 months)
- Fit Mask Test (annual, 3M N95 preferred)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap required within 10 years for Peds, LDRP, Postpartum)
- Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray (within 12 months)
- TB Questionnaire (annual)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – Positive titer or vaccinations required
- Hepatitis B – Positive titer, vaccine series, or declination accepted
- Varicella – Positive titer, vaccinations, or physician documented history
- 10 Panel Drug Screen (within 12 months)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Series and Booster (with medical/religious exemptions process)
Background & Compliance Checks
- 7 Year Criminal Background Check (annual update required)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM Checks (within 30 days of start)
- HHS/OIG Checks (within 30 days of start)
