Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Modesto, California

Job Requirements

• Valid California RN License
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• EPIC experience required
• Skills: Sedation, Documentation, Circulating

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications must be from AHA or ARC
• Additional certifications may be required depending on position (e.g., NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM)
• Competency exams such as Medication Test/Pharmacology, Dysrhythmia/EKG, and unit-specific competency exams may be required
• Verification of state license and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
• Some positions may require IV certification, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and NIH Stroke Certification

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must clear candidate for work)

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual renewal required)

Background & History Checks

• 7-year background check including aliases, county searches, sex offender, education verification, and employment verification
• FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required annually
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
• References required by Aya Healthcare (not by Sutter Health)
• Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
• Pending background check attestation may be required but is not accepted at certain facilities
