MRI Technologist Position

Location: Tacoma, Washington
Facility: St Joseph Medical Center

Job Details

Department: Radiology - MRI
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Holiday Requirement: No holidays unless mutually agreed upon
Call/Standby: Limited on-call required

Requirements

Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Restrictions: Candidates may not have worked full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility (including CHI and Dignity) within the past year

Department Information

Number of MRI Scanners: 2
Equipment: Siemens TIMS Symphony & 3T Trio
Imaging Types: MRI neuro, body, and musculoskeletal (MSK) studies
Average Scans per Day: Approximately 13
EMR/PACS Systems: EPIC (EMR) and McKesson (PACS)
Radiologist: In-house radiologist available
Use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA): No
IV Start: Required

Additional Information

Orientation: Department-specific orientation during the first full week
Dress Code: Scrubs are not provided; travelers must bring their own scrubs
Floating: May cover both outpatient and inpatient areas

This position is ideal for MRI technologists with ARRT certification and at least 2 years of experience, comfortable working night shifts on weekends, and able to start IVs.
