Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Pediatric & Fetal)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography examinations with a sub-specialty in fetal cardiac sonography.
- Conduct cardiology procedures to provide diagnostic data for disease and injury assessment.
- Maintain close collaboration with fetal cardiologists and nurse coordinators.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekend shift approximately every 18-19 weeks (Saturday/Sunday)
- On-call approximately 3 shifts per month at the main hospital campus
- Primary location is the main campus, with possible floating to Avondale and Arrowhead campuses
Requirements
Education
- Graduation from a CAAHEP or ACCSC accredited cardiac sonography program or equivalent experience
- OR 10 years of experience in cardiac ultrasound
Experience
- Ability to perform complex pediatric congenital and fetal echocardiograms
- Minimum 6 years full-time pediatric cardiac sonography experience
- Proven leadership skills with commitment to leadership activities after orientation
- Endorsement from fetal echo physicians and medical directors
- Experience with Philips Echo machines and Siemens Syngo Dynamics PACS system
Certifications / Licenses
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Pediatric (RDCS PE) or CCI Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Fetal (RDCS FE)
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association)
Additional Information
- COVID-19 vaccination recommended but not required
- Flu vaccination required October through April; exemptions must be approved prior to starting
- Unvaccinated staff for flu or COVID-19 must sign declination and masking agreements and mask during respiratory virus season
