Job Overview

• Perform routine nursing assignments and develop competence through structured work.
• Accountable for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Provide direct patient care, patient/family education, and manage transitions of care.
• Deliver holistic, individualized care considering psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
• Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers through effective communication.

Requirements

• California Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA
• Ambulatory surgery/endoscopy experience within the past 2 years
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts

Certifications & Competencies (Must Verify)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA or ARC approved)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Instructor or Advanced Provider Course preferred
• Critical Care RN (CCRN)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) for Labor & Delivery roles
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exams as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam for some telemetry units

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (3M 1870+ and 1860 Small masks accepted)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR vaccines or positive titers)
  • Hepatitis B series or declination
  • Varicella (chickenpox) vaccines or positive titer
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Sept-April) or signed declination
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
• Color blindness exam if applicable (in-person only)
• Respiratory safety clearance prior to start, renewed annually

Background & Compliance

• 7-year background check including aliases, sex offender search, education verification, and employment history
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
• Professional references required (Aya Healthcare requirement)
