Job Description

  • Support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures using single and biplane radiography units (Siemens fluoro and Phillips ultrasound).
  • Work in a Trauma 1 and Stroke Center environment.
  • Perform outpatient and inpatient procedures on adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics with all patient acuities.
  • Procedures include Y90, TIPs, chemoembolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke interventions, carotid stent placement, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, line/port/filter placements, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, and PE/DVT interventions.
  • Utilize McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart.
  • Department includes 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, and a dedicated ultrasound room. CT procedures are handled by CT techs.
  • Staffed by 5 Body IR physicians, 3 Neurointerventional physicians, and 9 IR techs when fully staffed.
  • Call requirements: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week; 2 techs on call each shift (primary and secondary).

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • ARRT Certification (including ARRT-VI, ARRT-CV, or ARRT-CI for Interventional Radiology Technologists)
  • State License: Missouri state license as required for Radiology Techs
  • BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC Provider card required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for Interventional Radiology staff
  • Other certifications may be required depending on specialty and role (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO for Oncology)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Proof of I9 or Attestation
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • E-Verify or Attestation
  • Background Check (7 years, including alias and international if applicable)
  • MO Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or MO Caregiver search (time sensitive)
  • Drug Screening: Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 60 days of start
  • Immunizations and Health Screenings:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or approved exemption)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations not accepted for new hires)
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption (required annually)
  • Physical Exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit Mask Testing (annual, specific mask types required)
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • Access and Confidentiality Agreement (must be signed prior to start)
  • New Hire Packet and Certification of Employment Eligibility

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must have a resume with at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps greater than 30 days.
  • Two professional references within the last 3 years are required (not necessarily supervisors).
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests may be required depending on profession.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs only.
  • International background checks required if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years.
