Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: CPU (Cardiac Progressive Unit)
• Shift: Night shift, every other week (EOW), including holidays
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
• Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3+ years recent Stepdown experience
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Skills:

  • Intermediate/Advanced Family Medicine (FM)
  • Telemetry
  • IV Start
• EMR System: Cerner
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)

Residency & Travel Notes

• Local candidates living within 31-50 miles accepted at local rate
• Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted as travelers

Required Documentation & Compliance

Certifications & Verifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• NURSYS Verification for all RNs
• State License Primary Source Verification
• Background Check: 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, counties, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, nationwide checks, and education verification
• Employment Application/Resume
• References: Two recent supervisor/manager level references verified within 12 months
• Education: Proof of RN education (diploma or transcript accepted)
• Skills Checklist and Competency Exams updated annually
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam updated annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit Mask Test (completed onsite at no cost)
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start; no PPDs accepted) or chest X-ray if past positive
• TB Questionnaire within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccine required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption
• COVID-19 Vaccine not required but proof of vaccination, exemption, or declination must be collected

Facility Specific Requirements

• Facility-specific HealthStream training modules must be completed prior to start date
• Photo for badge: Passport-style, shoulders up, plain background, no selfies, jpeg format, submitted within 24 hours of signing
• Various time-sensitive forms (IS115, IS119, Business Associate Agreement if requested) must be completed and signed (wet ink or DocuSign only)
• Flu Exemption and Flu Vaccine Confirmation forms if applicable
• Dress Code must be reviewed

Additional Notes

• Driver’s License (color copy) required for verification of residence
• Fingerprinting required only for CNAs (not applicable for RN)
• Hospital evaluations and internal evaluations required if previously worked with Archbold for over 1 year
