Job Description

A hospital in California is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech with X-ray experience for a travel contract. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and must hold the following certifications:

Active ARRT
BLS
ACLS
CRT
Fluoroscopy experience is required.

Contract Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts (every other weekend)
Call Requirements:
- 1 night per week
- 1 weekend per month
- Weekend call is every 6th weekend

Unit Information

Unit: Cath Lab Tech with X-ray experience
Cases: 15-20 cases per day
Equipment Used: Siemens/Phillips; experience with Merge Hemo system is a plus.
Support Staff: Charge nurse during the day and a circ nurse after hours.
Orientation: 1-2 days of unit orientation.

Additional Information

Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT, Fluoro (RCIS not accepted)
Experience Required: Candidates must have experience with peripheral and coronary circulation and be comfortable with critically ill patients.
Optional Holidays: Holiday pay is available if desired.
Scrubs Provided: Ceil blue scrubs.
Support Services: Cardiologist and respiratory therapist available 24/7; in-house pharmacy available 24/7.

All MyJourney modules must be completed prior to arrival; failure to do so may result in delayed start.
Candidates should be familiar with advanced procedures and equipment, including laser, rotablator, nitric oxide, IVUS, Impella, IABP, FFR, and angiojet.
The facility is a STEMI receiving center and handles many STEMI cases each month.
