MRI Technologist - Traveler (Backfill)

Job Overview

Perform quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the supervision of a qualified radiologist to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging for diagnosis and treatment. Participate in teaching and research related to MRI to support the organizational mission. Active involvement in the department is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct MRI scans using Philips and GE MRI scanners.
• Ensure imaging quality and accuracy for diagnostic purposes.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients.
• Manage multiple tasks and handle challenging customer interactions, escalating issues as needed.
• Participate in departmental teaching and research activities.

Equipment Utilized

• Philips MRI Scanner
• GE MRI Scanner
• Epic for EMR
• McKesson for imaging

Requirements

• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiology program.
• Current or ability to obtain ARRT certification in MRI within one year of hire.
• 6 months to 1 year of MRI experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers, including basic navigation and email applications.
• ARRT (R)(MRI) certification required.

Additional Information

• Facility has 7 MRI scanners on campus.
• Dress code: Red uniforms.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 1 year MRI experience.
• Experience with Philips MRI equipment.
• Previous Level I Trauma Hospital experience is a plus.
