Job Description

Hours: 5 shifts of 8 hours (06:00-14:30); hours may vary slightly.
Experience Required: Must be experienced in left/right heart catheterization, PCI, and peripheral procedures.

Required Certifications

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ONLY)
BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA ONLY)
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA ONLY)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (as applicable)
CHEMO - Chemotherapy (as applicable)
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (as applicable)
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (as applicable)
Tech Cert Verification - National (required within 30 days of start)
HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement (required, update annually)
ENPC (as applicable)
NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP required within 30 days of start)
NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable)
Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) (required for Telemetry nurses)

Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
Color Blind Testing Online (required)
Competency Exam (as applicable)

Health Requirements

Physical Exam - required within 1 year of start
Fit Mask - fit test required and must be updated annually
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap - vaccine required within 10 years of start
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - required
Rubeola (Measles) - positive titer or 2 vaccines required
Mumps - positive titer or 2 vaccines required
Rubella - positive titer or 2 vaccines required
Hepatitis B - positive titer, series (3), or declination
Varicella - positive titer or 2 vaccines required
Drug Testing - negative 10 panel drug screen required within 10 business days prior to start

Background and History Requirements

Background Check - required, must be renewed annually
References - 2 references required within 3 years of start
Employment Application - copy of resume/application required
Education Verification - required (highest level)
Transcript/Diploma - a copy of transcript or diploma/degree will suffice
State Specific Searches - TX DADS Check and TX EMR Check within 30 days of start
