Job Description
The X-Ray Technologist performs various types of diagnostic x-ray procedures and requires experience in CT and ultrasound. Key responsibilities include:
- Adjusting imaging equipment settings and determining proper voltage and exposure.
- Positioning patients and utilizing contrast media for specific exams.
- Ensuring patient safety protocols are followed.
- Performing ultrasound examinations for abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetrics, and gynecology scans.
- Conducting mammographic examinations, radiographic, CT, and Dexa exams.
- Following precise procedures for exposure and patient positioning.
- Operating radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Keeping accurate records for mammography and preparing for state inspections.
- Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any abnormal signs to physicians.

Education and Experience
- High School graduate with credentials from an accredited school for Radiologic Technology.
- Regulatory Requirements:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of hire.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Medical Radiographer licensure in the State of Nebraska.
Additional Information
- Candidates should be prepared to discuss their experience with ultrasound and CT, as well as any required time off during the initial assignment.
