Job Description

The X-Ray Technologist performs various types of diagnostic x-ray procedures and requires experience in CT and ultrasound. Key responsibilities include:

• Adjusting imaging equipment settings and determining proper voltage and exposure.
• Positioning patients and utilizing contrast media for specific exams.
• Ensuring patient safety protocols are followed.
• Performing ultrasound examinations for abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetrics, and gynecology scans.
• Conducting mammographic examinations, radiographic, CT, and Dexa exams.
• Following precise procedures for exposure and patient positioning.
• Operating radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Keeping accurate records for mammography and preparing for state inspections.
• Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any abnormal signs to physicians.

Technology Proficiency

Education and Experience

• High School graduate with credentials from an accredited school for Radiologic Technology.
• Regulatory Requirements:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of hire.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Medical Radiographer licensure in the State of Nebraska.
